Peekaboo, and a fab giveaway …

Good morning everyone, thanks as always for popping by and I hope you’re having a nice weekend

If you visit my blog regularly you might remember that my Daughter went away to racing college a while back. She’s always been horse mad and learning about race horses was a challenge for her, she was loving her course.

She’d said a few days ago that she couldn’t ride because she’d hurt her knee and she was having to rest. Then she rang in floods of tears saying she’d seen the Dr again and she would have to come home because she’s torn the ligaments at the front of her knee. If she can’t ride for more than a week she will get too far behind so we had to go and collect her. She will have to start again in 8 weeks (if the knee is better) but she was really upset to leave her friends. She’s been moping about at home really fed up with herself and its rubbing off on us all a bit. Together with this terrible weather it’s been a bit of a depressing week all in all!

I have a sneaky peek to show you of the new Lili of the Valley stamps which will be launched at the beginning of April

This one is called Peekaboo and features 2 of the new characters called Patch and Puss

I tried to keep it simple with this card, just used my Spellbinders hearts and scalloped hearts to make a frame and then put the image behind them with 3d glue. It was a bit tricky to line up and I ended up wasting some paper but I’ll know how to do it next time!

A bit of lovely ribbon, pearls, a sentiment tag and some of my favourite K&Co Smitten paper and that’s it

Hope you like it

Have a lovely Sunday

  3. Hi Anne, lovely card, really cute characters and I'm sure they will be well received when launched.
Your poor daughter, torn ligaments is so painful and they say it is better to break. Hope she wont be too long before getting back in the saddle. Never heard of a racing course before, learn something new evry day. Keep warm and cosy, Kate x

  8. Your poor girl....what a disappointment for her.....and, yep, that is going to take some healing, I'm afraid. I snapped the tiny bone behind my ankle, almost 3 years ago, but was told it was the tearing damage that would take longer to heal, and that proved to be right. But your daughter has youth on her side, so don't despair :)
Another super card creation, Anne.....can see these characters being very "adoptable", lol. x

  11. Hi Anne,
Your card is just adorable. I hope things will go well for your daughter. I firmly believe that when God closes one door, he opens another. Tell your daughter to have faith as it will surely get better. No telling what God will have in store for her.
