Manny ….
A couple of you have asked about my dog Manny (sorry for not answering you Kara I meant to put this on a few days ago) so I thought I’d tell you about him tonight as he is my golden boy!!
We got him from the rescue centre when he was a puppy and thought he just had cute little stubby legs. It was soon apparent that as he was growing his legs were really quite a funny shape and he often started limping.
We took him to the vets for x-rays and they said his legs are congenitally deformed. As he gets older his feet are turning outwards and his little front legs are very bent, his back legs are normal which puts pressure on his back because his front end is lower.
We have no idea what breed he is, he’s a Heinz 57 for sure. He is just the nicest little dog and I spoil him rotten, he loves to have a cuddle and we’re all happy to oblige!
I don’t think he’s in pain, he loves to run around but knows when he’s had enough. The only treatment would be breaking his legs and putting pins in, it would cost £1000’s and cause him a lot of pain with no guarantee to make him better so not really an option. I don’t think he’ll be with us for very long but I’m so glad we went to the dogs trust on that particular day, I know he was meant to be with us.
When he was a puppy;
You can see how his feet turn out, and his right leg is the worst;
He’s such a character - I love him!
My favourite pic, he has such a lovely face
Thanks for letting me indulge!! I’ll stick to cards in future lol …enjoy the rest of your evening xx

Time to play….
Hi everyone, thanks again for stopping by.
I hope the weather is better where you are than it is here, it’s been chucking it down and blowing a gale all day – British summer at it’s best!!
Lili of the Valley has a little competition over on our facebook page this weekend. All you have to do is ‘like’ the page and on Sunday night we’ll draw 3 winners at random from the people who ‘liked’ us. Those 3 winners will each get the brand new set of Summer bear stamps which is released on Monday. It’s a great prize for not doing much …but you’ve got to be in it to win it!
If any of you go on Facebook it’s a good way to keep updated on Lili of the Valley news. We put something on there most days, you can ask questions and you can also put your cards on – we love to see what everyone is making with the stamps and die cuts and we’ll always leave you a comment.
This is a card I made for our showroom at work and it was perfect for this weeks challenge over at Lili’s Little Fairies which is ‘time to play’
The image was coloured in by beautifully by June and I made it up into a card.
Isn’t he cute off for his first day at school – and the best part of the school day has got to be playtime!
I used Spellbinders Labels 12 and ribbon tag dies, Tim Holtz brads, Core’dinations card, K & Co backing papers, distress ink’ dried marigold’, twine and ribbon are from The Ribbon Girl and I did the sentiments myself on the computer.
If you put a couple of spaces between each letter then when you print the word there is enough room to cut them separately and then just stick behind the image – I like this effect and they also look great going round a circle.
That’s it from me, have a lovely weekend everyone

Sneaky peeks ….
Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by. The weather is lovely here today, let’s hope it keeps it up for a while longer
I always spend Tuesday evening with my friend next door, we sometimes do a little bit of exercise but more often than not just drink wine and skip the walking!! I think we’ll be sitting in the garden tonight and enjoying the weather
I’ve been making some cards using the new summer bears from Lili of the Valley, they’ll be on sale from the 25th and they are sooo cute!
This first one is called ‘bobbing on by’
I’ve used spellbinders nestabilities circle and lacey circle dies, core’dinations card, Nellies corner die, Tim Holtz idea-ology charm and flowers from Wild Orchid crafts. I cut the patterned paper up before I made a note of it but it was from Dies to Die for.
The second image I’m showing you today is called ‘a little message’, the sentiments also come with the stamp so they’re great value for money at £4.50 each
For this card I’ve used core’dinations card, embossing folder, spellbinders nestabilities labels 12 die, ribbon from The Ribbon Girl, diamante strip is dovecraft and I got the little wooden flowers at the NEC so don’t know the make of them. The builders scrim was kindly sent to me by Fleur, she got some at B&Q but I couldn’t find any so don’t know if they still have it, it’s great for adding a bit of texture
I’ll draw a winner from all the comments left on my mini blog hop card tonight so make sure you call back tomorrow to see if you were the lucky winner.
Have a lovely evening everyone

In the garden…
Good evening crafters, and welcome too to all my lovely new followers!
Thanks for all your comments on my card for the mini blog hop, mine is one of the mystery prize blogs so I’ll be drawing a winner tomorrow at random from all the comments.
I had an awful migraine yesterday so spent the day in bed instead of doing all the crafting that I had planned, what a waste of a Sunday :o(
This was my card for Lili’s Little Fairies this week, the theme is ‘in the garden’
The stamp is watering can from Lili of the Valley which comes with the lovely free sentiment.
Other supplies are as follows; core’dinations card, embossing folder, spellbinder nestabilities dies, flowers for Wild Orchid Crafts, ribbon and lace from The Ribbon Girl, the little hearts are in a tin from Maya Road and the mini staples are Tim Holtz.
Hope you like my card today, make sure you pop back tomorrow to see if you were the winner of the blog hop commenter's candy.

Lili of the Valley DT mini hop
Good morning bloggers, hope everyone is ok this morning and thanks very much for visiting.
Today is the 15th so that means it’s time for another of our mini blog hops. We’ve all used the same stamp to show how they can be used in many different ways. This one is from the new summer bears which are due to be released on June 25th and is called ‘posy trio’. The DT will be showing some sneaky peeks of the full set on the Ideas to Inspire blog and on their own blogs from the 18th so don’t miss those.
As always there are some mystery prizes along the hop so make sure you leave a comment on all the blogs you visit to be in with a chance of winning as they are drawn at random. This month we are sponsored by Lili of the Valley and Wild Orchid Crafts
My card is a concertina fold, it’s a bit different for me but I saw one at a show and thought I’d have a go. This little stamp is perfect for this as there are 3 separate images.
This is the front, it folds up and ties with some lovely white seam binding from our sponsors Wild Orchid Crafts.
Seam binding is fabulous stuff, I left this white but I always buy white because you can colour it with your copics or promarkers so it matches your work exactly.
I used some of my favourite Eline papers, I love this bright pink and green colour combination.
The circles were cut with spellbinders dies (standard and lacey) and the edging on the white card is a doohickey stitched border. The brads and pearls are also from Wild Orchid crafts and the flowers are done with an EK success retro flower punch. I inked all the edges with bright green and pink dauber duo inks
The sentiments are also from the new bears range which you’ll see shortly.
Apologies for the terrible pictures, the weather has been so dismal there was no light at all, even in my conservatory :o(
The girls taking part today are
Anne – that’s me!
Make sure visit all the blogs, and remember if you want to be in the draw for one of our fab prizes you will need to leave a comment on each ….also don’t forget to check back next week to see if you were a winner!
Have a lovely weekend and thanks again for stopping by x
