Christmas blog hop…

Morning everyone, how are you today?

It’s a while since the Lili of the Valley DT did a blog hop, so today, well overdue, it’s time to showcase the new Christmas products! As always we have loads of ideas for you and a fabulous prize up for grabs!

The new stamps and papers go on sale at midnight on Friday (August 1st) There are 22 cute new images, 5 clear stamp sets and 4 festive paper pads…  you’re gonna love them all!

The full design team is joining in the fun, you need to ‘hop’ from one blog to another following the links and leave feedback on each card

We don’t know where the prizes are hidden so be sure to visit and comment on each one, the winners will be drawn at random from all the comments that were left on 2 ‘lucky’ blogs

***

There is a full set of the new Christmas image stamps up for grabs, we’ve split it into 2 amazing prizes;

1st prize is the 12 angels, penguins and snowmen

2nd prize is the 10 vintage children

Here’s a list of the blogs that are taking part in the hop, you should have come here from the Lili of the Valley blog…

I used this adorable stamp called Skating Friends, I coloured the image to match the papers which are from the new Snow Princess pads (I used both patterned and solids)

The dies are DooHickey poinsettia and slender firs

It’s hard to see on the pictures but I went round the edge with a small snowflake stamp in Adirondack ‘Cool Peri’ ink, it’s quite pale but is a perfect match for these papers

Some diamantes and stickles to finish off (I can’t resist!)

Next stop is the lovely Becky, I’m sure she’s made something gorgeous to show you, and if you get lost along the way just go back to the start and pick up the links again

It’s a Jolly Holiday…

Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by…

my crafting has taken a serious hit this last couple of weeks, I love the sunny weather but it is unbearably hot in the attic so I haven’t been up there at all

I can’t wait to get started with the new LOTV Christmas stamps, I made a card with the new papers which is on the Ideas to Inspire blog tomorrow but that’s all I’ve managed to do in weeks with also going away

The new theme at Papertake Weekly is…

It’s A Jolly Holiday

so we want to see your interpretation of this, it could be a summer holiday or a Christmas holiday or you may have your own ideas

I chose to make a Christmas card, I’ve been wanting to use this Marianne die for ages, didn’t quite know what to do with it to be honest so I made a small card and used it as an aperture…

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday everyone, we had a family BBQ yesterday for Jessie’s birthday so today is just a pottering day and I’m not doing much of anything!

Colour Challenge - Aqua

Hey everyone, it's Sunday again which means it's time for another Ribbon Girl challenge

This week it is our Colour Challenge and we would like to see your Aqua/Turquoise projects

I used a Lili of the Valley art pad image and some of their delicious new papers…

July - Aqua

The image is from Here Comes Annabel and I used papers from two of the new pads, Pastel Dreams and Up, Up & Away

These two pads are from the same collection so they mix and match perfectly together

The greeting is from the Scroll Sentiments set

I used some goodies from the Ribbon Girl which you can find on their website here

Chantal ivory tulle lace, Darjeeling white blossom flowers, tulle, aqua sparkle bead string, stickles, mixed aqua flat back gems mixed pink flat back gems

Hope you like it, as always thanks for your comments… I very much appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback and I’ll be catching up with all your  blogs this week

I’ll put some pictures up from my holiday when I get them sorted, and the Tour de France too although I only took one as I was too busy cheering them on!!

Thank You…

Evening all, what you up to?

We had a lovely holiday, beautiful hotel and lots of sunshine which was all we really wanted. I’ve come back with a nice tan and feeling very rested…   so job done!

I’ve had such a busy week that this is the first time I’ve managed to get into the attic, I intended to post my Ribbon Girl card just one day late on Monday but the week has whizzed by and it didn’t quite go to plan

….so here, better late than never, is a quick reminder about this month’s Lovely Lili challenge at the Ribbon Girl

You can see all the details on the Ribbon Girl blog as well as lots of fab inspiration from the DT. We have a special guest DT too this month, it’s my lovely friend, the super talented Lou

I’ve been making a few smaller cards lately and I like them. This is 4x4 and it’s just the right size to make a matching envelope out of an 8x8 sheet of paper

06 July - Thank You

I used another fairy topper from the Magical Fairies art pad, this image is called Petal and the sentiment is from Set 9

The border die is DooHickey and the rest of the gorgeousness is from the Ribbon Girl;

Yellow/white spot organza

Tulle

White seam binding

Flat back pearls

Stickles

Darjeeling white mini blossom flowers

Hope you like it, I’ll be back on Sunday with the new colour challenge and I’ve used some of the gorgeous new Lili of the Valley papers

Just before I go don’t forget the Summer Savers at Lili of the Valley, all the rubber stamps have a fantastic 20% off and the paper pads (including the 5 new designs) are just £6.50 until Sunday night (while stocks last!)

Stars and Stripes…

Hello everyone, all being well I shall be sunning myself in Zante when you read this post!

I don’t like to have to think about blogging when I’m away and don’t usually schedule posts, but when I saw the challenge for this week at Papertake Weekly I wanted to join in, it’s…

Stars and Stripes

I’ve had these lovely papers from magnolia for ages and never found a use for them, they were perfect for this weeks theme…

PTW 66 - Stars & Stripes

I used the Here Comes Annabel art pad from Lili of the Valley, this image is called ‘texting’ if you want to get her in a stamp and it’s a great time to buy because they have a summer sale at the moment and the rubber stamps are all reduced in price!

Here’s what else I used;

Marianne fence

Doohickey flags

Little B circle

Spellbinders scalloped circle

Computer generated sentiment

Hope you like it, you can check out what the DT did and find full details for the challenge on the Papertake Weekly blog here, as always there is a smashing prize up for grabs

Right I’ll love you and leave you, I’m writing this on Saturday evening, it’s been a gorgeous day and I went to see the Tour de France which was about a mile from my house this morning – it was VERY exciting!

Need to go pack though now, I had a list of things to do today and sitting watching cycling all day wasn’t on it!

Hope you’re having a nice week everyone

Save The Date…

Evening everyone, hope you are all well?

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave comments on my cards earlier in the week – I’m really pleased that you all liked them

I have something again that’s a bit different to share, as it’s the first challenge of the month we have our usual Anything Goes theme at Papertake Weekly

This month’s optional extra is to do Christmas In July but remember this is only an option, I chose not to take it this time as I’ve been wanting to work  some more with the fabulous Wedding Stamps from Lili of the Valley…

This is a little Save The Date card…

PTW 65 - Anything Goes Christmas

I used centura pearl card and Country Lady papers…

PTW 65 spare

This stamp is from the ‘Pretty’ set and you could do a whole set of gorgeous matching stationery with these stamps

PTW 65 spare 6

PTW 65 spare 4

I made a matching envelope using the gorgeous papers and lined it with a contrasting design, this is one of my favourite pads

 PTW 65 spare 3

 PTW 65 spare 2

I coloured the flowers with some Promarkers that matched the papers and trimmed with some little flatback pearls

PTW 65 spare 5

The edges were cut with a die from Spellbinders scallop borders one and I finished it with some button twine and a little charm from the Ribbon Girl
