A belated Jubilee card ...and my candy winner

Good evening everyone, I hope you all had a lovely long weekend.

We had a fabulous time in Edinburgh, what a beautiful city, although it is slightly spoiled by all the building work which has apparently been going on for years and years. We did plenty of sightseeing and also lots of eating and drinking! There are some amazing buildings and everyone was really friendly - and we were really lucky with the weather.

There were lots of homeless young people begging which is awful to see, especially when you turn on the TV and see all that extravagance, it's heart breaking. I know it's probably the same in most big Cities but it was a bit of a shock to me and I found it hard to just walk by.

I managed to catch some of the Jubilee celebrations, wether you're a Royalist or not you can't deny that we Brits are brilliant at putting on all the pomp and circumstance and I don't think any other Country does it with quite as much style.

Now onto my blog candy, I said when I got to 100 followers I would draw a winner for a prize of 2 packs of Flexmarkers.

My winner is....

**  Marjorie **

Well done Marjorie, email me and I'll arrange to get your prize to you

Sorry there could only be one winner, thank you all so much for your support.
I read and appreciate every comment that you leave for me and although I don't always have time to comment I do try to visit all of your blogs.

This is a bit late in the day but here's my Jubilee card...

I used downloadable papers and bunting from NitWit collections as they had this fabulous red, white and blue set called 'tour of London'
I was amazed at how vibrant they were, I don't have a fancy printer. They are only a couple of $ for a full set of papers, just save them on your computer to use whenever you like and you can print them off to whatever size you want. I'll be using these a lot more in the future.

The stamp is Lili of the Valley tea party and it was very apt for the Queens Jubilee, nearest I'll get to tea at the palace anyway!

The flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts and the sentiment is from one of the new Lili of the Valley stamp sets - this one is called handwritten phrases.

I stuck the top 2 rows of bunting on with foam pads to give it a bit of dimension and the sentiment is also raised, you can't really tell on the picture.

Thanks for looking, enjoy the rest of your evening

Anne xx

  3. Glad you had a great time in Edinburgh, and thanks for following my blog! Glad to hear the digi paper works with a normal printer, that's why I've held off, and b/c our ink is expensive. Love that sweet image and the bunting!
