My Favourite Friends …

Evening all, hope you’ve had a lovely weekend

I’ve had a busy couple of days, it was the Lili of the Valley open day yesterday so I was working all day

Today I went into Leeds with Keith, he is the worst shopper ever! He only goes to town once a year before we go on holiday, we haven’t been away this year with one thing and another so he really needed a few things. He said we’ll go shopping and have a wander round so I thought lovely, that it will make a nice change, we’ll have lunch out and I might get a few bits too. We went straight into Next where he bought the first 2 pairs of trousers he saw and a hoodie then said right lets go, we were home 30 minutes later!! We have a Next half a mile away or I could have ordered them from the directory, we may have well just stayed at home   …and I had a slice of toast for my lunch!!

I like to watch the X Factor and Downton Abbey on a Sunday so I always have a couple of lovely crafty hours to myself. The new Lili of the Valley girlie stamps are released tomorrow and DT have loved using them, they are the cutest yet!

I’m super late with my Papertake Weekly card but you still have time to enter

As it’s the last one of the month it’s a Sketchie Free For All, you can use any of our sketches but as always there is a new one and I’ve chosen to use it, sketch 84…

PTW 31 - Sketch 84

I’ve used one of the new girls out tomorrow and this image is so adorable, it’s called My favourite Friends

The papers are Always and Forever and the sentiment is from Handwritten Phrases

The gorgeous border dies are Joanna Sheen, I’ve had them a while and as I said before I’m making a point of using something I’ve not used before on all my new cards – they have matching corners and are really lovely, in fact I’m mad with myself for not getting them out sooner

Hope you like it, enjoy your Sunday evening everyone

  1. Gorgeous card Anne, lovely flowers and those borders are great :) My dad is probably even worse than that with shopping - Mum buys all his clothes for him as he never wants to go into town :P

  3. Your shopping saga made me smile. My hubby and I are the other way around. He loves to shop and I'm bored in 20 mins. Unless it's a crafting shop that is! Then I can browse for HOURS! LOL His favourite shop is TK Tatt (well that's what I call it as it feels like a posh jumble sale to me and I can't be bothered to look through all the rails to find something I like).

Love your card, and I'm looking forward to seeing the new images tomorrow. I have some money from my birthday left that I've been saving for the new images.

    Have a lovely Sunday eve.

  4. Men! They just don't get it, do they? Mine is the same. Which is why he stayed in the car while daughter and I browsed the LOTV shop yesterday! lol.

Your card is just gorgeous! I love the colours and the papers (really ought to get myself that pad next time!) and that image is my favourite of the new release. I adore the lace you've used too! x

  10. Hi Anne, your hubby sounds just like my David, but Candice always asks her granddad to go shopping and he seems to have more patience with her. She drives me insane when I go with her lol!!

  12. This is absolutely adorable, Anne! I love the colors, papers, and all the flowers along with the cute image. I can't wait to see the new baby images! I've been hoping we would see the baby images from the art pads soon so I'm crossing my fingers. Shopping with your husband sounds a lot like shopping with mine! lol Have a great week!
