Afternoon everyone, thanks for stopping by
Manny has been on his holidays this weekend, he went to stay with Jess in Middleham and even went to work with her, she said he just pottered about the stables as good as gold and had a lovely time. The house has been so empty without him, it’s not the same when he’s not here
….although, I had a hot cross bun and didn’t have to share it, that was a treat!!
We’re going to collect him tonight so Keith will have a moan because the car will be full of dog hairs …but I can’t wait to see him!

I’m going to get some candy together today so if you leave me a comment on this card I’ll draw a winner and announce who it is on the next post, I appreciate you taking the time to write your all your lovely comments and I enjoy reading them

Onto this week's Papertake Weekly challenge and our theme is …
White + 1
… so, all we want you to do is to use white as your base colour and then use one more colour as well.
This can be different shades of your chosen colour and it doesn’t include hair and skin if you are using images.
This week we are very pleased to introduce a brand new sponsor…
You can read about the prize and see the challenge details on the Papertake blog
I had a boys card to make so used blue as my extra colour with the white
The cute little chap playing his game is called Computer Fun from Lili of the Valley, you can get it as a stamp or this is from one of the art pads – a very useful image for your male cards
The sentiment is from Handwritten Phrases and I used Petal Fresh papers
The star border die is Doohickey and the chipboard stars are from Maya Road
The little corners are an EK Success punch, I use this a lot

Don’t forget there’s candy today for the lucky comment, enjoy the rest of your Sunday everyone

ReplyDeleteHi Anne, hope you got your 'boy' back safely. Love this card from you. Great image (0f course) and really like that star border. Am going to turn the heating up and crack out the card-making gear. Perfect Sunday afternoon I reckon. x
ReplyDeleteAwww I hope Manny has had a good holiday!
ReplyDeleteYour card is gorgeous, adorable image, I love the layout and one of my all time favourite sentiment sets.
Enjoy the rest of the day.

It sounds like Manny had a great time Anne and I'm sure you can't wait to see him. Your card is really fresh, I love it. Blue and white is such a lovely colourway. Thanks for your recent comments over at mine and yes I cannot believe that Daisy is over 5 months now. I have been crafting today...no gardening at the moment with this unsettled snap. Have a lovely Sunday evening, hugs, Jane xx
ReplyDeleteHi Anne, I bought this Art Pad at Ally Pally, very useful. Love your card design and colour choice. Happy Sunday. Hugs, Carol S.xx

ReplyDeleteI love this card! It's so sweet. The star border is fabulous! xx
ReplyDeleteHope you get Manny home safely Anne, bet you missed him - l miss Toby when he goes for a groom and that only takes an hour. Lovely card perfect for any young man too. I have had a good 3 hour in allotment today with my little assistant - put caulis in today and parsnip and raddish seed Monty Don style and everything is coming along nicely - might have some spare bits for you too. Take care x Susan x
ReplyDeleteI love this image, it's so up to date although he should have a slack open mouth as both my boys ( in their 20's!) seem to do this when they play on their consoles. The embellies look great especially the star border and the papers look fab and fresh.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how much we miss our pets. I've just had an 11 day hospital stay and I so missed my cats and my hubby of course, thought I better add that! Debra x
A whole hot cross bun to yourself!! :-P aww my dog used to love trips in my car! I couldn't care less about the hairs! He'd get so excited!!
ReplyDeleteI own a little classic mini but I'm now bedridden so can't take him out anymore :-(

Gorgeous blues and great embellishments too, not always easy for boy's cards but I find stars always work well. Must dig my stamp out with this image, he is a great image. Love this card

ReplyDeleteI Love this image and your card is beautiful with all it's attention to detail.
ReplyDeleteFab card Anne, and I'm glad Maddy enjoyed his holidays. When we go away my dad comes around to feed our fur babies, so they get a holiday in the sense that they can sleep on the beds without getting told off!! LOL
ReplyDeleteSorry, Manny, not Maddy. slip of the fingers! ooo-er!
ReplyDeleteAwh! This is just lovely Anne, that could be my grandson on there, he loves racing tracks!! It must be lovely to have Manny back, I look after our Cassy for Deborah, while she is at work, and the house just isn't the same when she goes home!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Marjorie xx
