Thanks everyone ....

Firstly thanks so much for all the lovely comments on my card yesterday, I'm glad you all enjoyed the mini blog hop

Secondly make sure you pop back to see if my blog is one of the mystery prize blogs, if so on Wednesday I'll be randomly picking from all the comments left and the lucky winner will get a prize from one of our sponsors Lili of the Valley or Wild Orchid Crafts

Right onto todays card, this is something a bit different so I'm interested to know what you think

I had to make a sympathy card and went through all my stamps (I have 100's) but just couldn't seem to find the right image to use so I decided to just use some paper and a sentiment and try to keep it simple. I actually made two so I'll put the other one up another day if you like this one

It's hard to see on the picture but there is a bit of sparkle and ribbon on it - it's difficult to know what to do for sympathy cards, you want to say the right thing and don't want to say the wrong thing and it's hard to get it just right but I thought these turned out ok

Pop back soon and there will be something a bit more cheerful next time!!

PS. Thanks for the advice Linda, I'm going to put my candy on this weekend now I know what to do x

  1. It's perfect Anne, I never know what to do either. If I have had to do one I usually go with trees for some reason,

  2. Hi Anne,
I hate having to do these cards too. I did one recently and like you I was so unsure I had a 5min panic. In the end I chose a little cross on simple white/grey. I like yours because you have kept it simple and elegant and the wording is perfect, exactly the thing I like to say. The usual 'In sympathy' can be so hard.
    Best wishes Linda x

  5. Anne, I totally know where you are coming from when you need to make a sympathy card, all the stamps I have and often just none of them seem appropriate.
You have definately cracked it with this one though, a lovely card. Thanks for the inspiration.

  7. I think we all struggle with Sympathy cards Anne, but you have done a wonderful job with this one. Simple but perfect!
