Hello crafty friends, hope you are all well?
Summer hasn’t quite arrived yet has it but it’s been a bit better here this week and I’ve managed to get my garden tidied up and all my bedding plants in. My Mum did a few for me when we were in Chester, she likes gardening so there weren’t too many left and it looks lovely when all the flowers come out. We treated ourselves to some nice chairs when we had that nice spell about 6 weeks ago and they’ve been in the garage ever since, hope I didn’t jinx the weather!!
There has been such a lot of sport on the TV I haven’t seen much of my hubby, he likes the Grand Prix and I won’t see him at all once the Olympics start but I’m not complaining, more craft time for me! I don’t watch a lot of sport but I like Wimbledon and usually catch the football if England are playing, what a waste of time! Our premiership players are obscenely overpaid and think they are better than they are. It’s such a shame for the fans who spent their hard earned money going to France to support them. Hopefully Wales will fly the flag for us and win tonight

There’s a new challenge on the LOTV FB PAGE and the theme is... Summer in the Garden
You need to use a Lili of the Valley image of course but have a go because there are some great prizes on offer for 3 winners picked at random. You can enter and find all the details on the Challenge Event Page
Summer in the Garden always meant that the kids wanted to camp out when they were younger so I used this image for my card…
It’s a discontinued Art Pad image (sorry, I’m using them up) and the sentiment is from a Hero Arts set
The papers are Carta Bella and I’ve had the embossing folder ages and never used it, I don’t know why because it’s a lovely one – it’s Couture Creations ‘Ooh La la’
I cut the sun, clouds and grass from scraps of the papers (just so I can tell myself there really is a reason to save all those tiny bits!) and I finished it with a couple of little beads

Hope you like it, enjoy the rest of your week everyone and I’ll be catching up on the blogs tonight while I have one eye on the football!
Aaaah so sweet and i'm loving that embossing folder.
ReplyDeleteWeather has been nice down here in the south today. I like Wimbeldon, but don't seem to have even watch much of that this year so far !!, Luv Sam x
Thanks Sam, no I've not seen as much as I usually do - but I'll be watching the final this afternoon!
DeleteA cute image and love all the added texture. I'm exhausted tonight after watching the Andy Murray match. It was amazing how they can play hard right to the end. Hugs, Carol S.xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol, I know me too - they are so fit and so dedicated :o)
DeleteSo beautiful image and pretty embossing. LOVE the clouds and grass from scraps of papers and the flower beads, they give a fab look and a great dimension to your card!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Alice x
DeleteThis is gorgeous Anne. Such a fabulous image and beautifully designed.
ReplyDeleteHope the weather continues so that you can sit out on your chairs - not hopeful personally!
Hope you are well.
Hugs Sharon. x
Thanks Sharon, all good here thank you - I hope your hubby is better now x
Deletesuperb card Anne. use to love camping during the summer mind you It was always with my cousins in their back garden and the midnight feast where always scrummy. enjoy the rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteAnn. x
Thanks Ann, the kids and I love camping but Keith not so much unfortunately!
DeleteWonderful card Anne! Really lovely card design and I love the little beads you've added. I don't have such fond memories of camping. As my mum and dad were cub and scout leaders I had to go with them when the packs went camping. So I was the only girl with a bunch of annoying boys. My mum loved to tell everyone how I fell asleep whilst eating some green Angel Delight and went face first into the bowl! Well I was only 6yrs old :D. Debra x
ReplyDeleteThank you Debra, that's so funny - what a lovely memory!!
DeleteGorgeous card, beautiful image and fab design x
ReplyDeleteThank you Natalia x
DeleteLovely card Anne......camping? not any more for me......prefer a nice hotel these days (as you know). Cloudy here again today...certainly not sitting out weather...do hope it changes soon then you can use your chairs! Why don't you pop to the playground with this being you have used snippets?
ReplyDeleteThanks Carole, I don't generally enter challenges but I might have a peek!
DeleteSo beautiful Anne, lovely image and design. I do agree about the obscene money footballer make, but that seems to be the way of sport now. The Olympics were once only for amateurs, it's all big money now. Pity about Wales, but the heroes of the tournament was certainly Iceland, Kate x
ReplyDeleteThanks Kate, I agree with you - always love to see the underdogs do well x
DeleteBeautiful card Anne, I'm sooooo sick of the football.. I've disappeared to my room now to get some blogging done lol just so I don't have to hear the match lol
ReplyDeleteHugs Kelly
Thanks Kelly, not long to go now!!
DeleteGorgeous card! Love that image and your clouds and sun look sweet too! xxx
