Hello crafters, I didn’t plan it but I’ve had a little break – life just got in the way for a few weeks!
I love being at home, I am never bored for a minute, but (and I never thought I’d say this) I have missed working. So, I got a job, just one day a week at the moment but after 8 months being at home it’s thrown my routine a bit and I’m all at sixes and sevens
I was trying to make my Ribbon Girl card a few weeks ago and 3 attempts went in the bin so I decided it was time for a break from crafting too. I’ve been doing some sewing, gardening and trying some mixed media which I’ve really enjoyed (although not quite ready to share yet though!!)
Which reminds me, the Ribbon Girl is celebrating their 6th Birthday this week so they have a fabulous 15% off everything in the store until midnight on Friday 12th August - don’t miss it!
There’s a nice easy ‘anything goes’ challenge on the LOTV facebook page at the moment with some fabulous prizes up for grabs and I made a card using the cute ‘Happy Cats’ stamp
It’s only 11 x 8 so a teeny card - I think it would be nice as a set with a matching box, in fact I might give that go with their other smaller dog and cat images!
The sun and grass dies are Lil’ Inkers, the paw prints and clouds are Memory Box
I’m mad with myself because the smallest cloud is missing, it’s one of my most used sets and it must have gone in the bin with the paper scraps because I can’t find it anywhere, damn it!
These papers are Up, Up and Away from NitWits, I love this colour combination

So, now I’ve got a huge task catching up with all your blogs! I’ll be round over the next few days seeing what you’ve been making
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your evening

ReplyDeleteWell done on getting a new job. I was made redundant last June, and don't officially retire until March next year, but I don't miss working at all,in fact I don't know how I found the time to work, Kate x
Thanks Kate - I don't know where the time goes!

Purrrfect little card Anne! A really wonderful card design. I'm really sorry you've lost your die :(. One of mine has vanished and it's not that small either so I know how annoyed and disappointed you feel. But never mind as you have a new job, YAY! Congratulations. I hope you really enjoy doing it. It may give you crafty mojo a kick start being away from it for a while. Hope your week is going really well. Debra x
ReplyDeleteThanks Debra, I hope you are well

Hi Anne.....what acute, lovely card.Definitely an aahhh card! Sorry about your die, it is so frustrating isn't it...hopefully it will turn up. Perhaps you need one of those big new magnet things from Spellbinders (called Main Attraction) on your desk.....I have been debating putting one on Santas list. I guess you dont really need one until you have lost a die...if you know what I mean!! lol xx
ReplyDeleteI hope so Carole. Thank for stopping by, I haven't seen those desk magnets, oh no, something else on the list!!
DeleteA lovely card Anne but I'm not sure I would miss working if I could give it up!
ReplyDeleteThanks Annette.
DeleteIt's not actually the work I miss, more the interaction with a team!

DeleteA pretty little card and a cute image. I am retired and working harder than ever!! How people get bored I don't understand. I love doing craft fairs and have made many more friends through them. I support a local charity selling my makes and having fun doing it. I am sure you will catch up with your life soon!!
