My weekend .....

Good evening crafters, and as always thanks for stopping by

We had such a fabulous weekend, the weather was kind to us, we had lots of fun and quality time together as a family which we don't get so much of now the kids are growing up and it was great.
We ate and drank far too much  ...and everyone won something at the races except me :o(

The kids both had a win, my Nephew and Jess's boyfriend both did really well, as did my Mum and my Brother. It was fun but I'm not a good gambler, I don't like to see my hard earned cash disappearing into the bookies pocket lol

Here's a mug shot so you can put faces to us, there's my mum, me and the birthday girl...

Have a lovely evening ladies and make sure you stop by tomorrow because just to say thanks to those of you who regularly comment on my blog I'm going to pop you all in a little draw for a prize :o)

A touch of romance ….

Hello everyone, can you believe it’s Friday again, where on earth do these weeks go?
We had a lovely weekend camping and then a family meal for my daughter’s 18th which is this week (I feel old!)
We said she could do anything she wanted and she chose to go to the races so that’s where we’ll be on Saturday. McFly are playing afterwards, it’s a one off gig and was perfect timing because she likes them so it should be a really good day.
I was a bit worried about my Mum having to stay late after the racing to see a band but when I told her it was McFly she was thrilled, she said she’d loved Harry on Strictly Come Dancing last year lol  …so everybody's happy!!
The Lili’s Little Fairies challenge was very late last week as Jacqui has had other things on, there’s still time to enter and the theme is ‘a touch of romance’
Here’s the card I made, I just love these 2 bunnies in the bath making a toast

Bubble Bath Anne

I used Lili of the Valleybubble bath’ stamp, K & Co papers, Core’dinations card, Spellbinders scalloped oval dies and girlie grunge label dies, Martha Stewart punch, lace from the Ribbon Girl and Wild Orchid crafts flowers which you can now get in our showroom at Lili of the Valley
This image was beautifully coloured in by June for us at work, she’s a bit of a whizz with the Copics so credit where it’s due!

Have a fantastic weekend everyone, I will try and get round to visiting all your blogs, meanwhile I do read and appreciate every comment that’s left for me

Is Summer here ....

...well it's a great foreacst for the weekend so we're off camping!

It's just me, the hubby and the dog -  it's not cool for the kids any more to be camping with Mum and Dad and they turn their noses up at the very mention of outdoor life.

How soon they've forgotten what fun we used to have, a sunny day, a picnic and a fishing net was all we needed for hours of entertainment by the river that cost virtually nothing. Now I think my daughter would rather lose a leg than be parted from her mobile phone and I'm sad that those precious days have gone.

I've had my Lili's Little Fairies challenge card ready to show you since Thursday but for some reason the challenge hasn't been put up yet so I'll be back with it hopefully on Sunday when I get home.

Meanwhile if you're in the UK enjoy the sun, this weekend may be our Summer!   ...wherever in the World you are though thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous weekend

xx

Pretty in Pink …

Good evening crafters, I have news!! you might remember me saying I was on a mission to find my husband a hobby (preferably a very time consuming one) to give me more crafting time. Well ….result, he’s bought himself a scooter whey hey!!

He always had a lambretta, a throwback from his Wigan casino days, but decided he was getting too old to be sat at the side of the road with a spanner while all his mates went riding by. They’re not known for their reliability and while doing one up seemed a great idea when he was younger the novelty of breaking down every time he went out had gradually worn off!!

So, he’s got a new Vespa, and quite nice it is too. I did have one scary moment when he said we could go off for the day to the coast together on it, “NO CHANCE” I thought, he can go off to the coast and I will be quite happy sat here on my own making cards  …mission nicely accomplished!!

On to today's cards, this weeks theme over that Lili’s little fairies is pretty in pink so I’ve made these little mini cards

July 08 010

I’ve used the cute present trio from the new Lili of the Valley Summer bears and also the incredibly useful sentiment tags

July 08 007

I’ve used Spellbinders circles and lacey circle dies

The little mini cards were in a pack of 12 with envelopes, they’re by K & Co from their gorgeous Smitten range

July 08 009

The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts that you can now get in the Lili of the Valley showroom

The crystals,  lace and also the button twine are from The Ribbon girl, I love this button twine I think it looks so cute tied in between the flowers

Hope you like my little cards, thanks so much for all the comments you’ve been leaving for me, I read and appreciate every one and do try to visit all your blogs.

Have a lovely evening x

More mice are nice….

Note to self – I must stop buying crafty stash!

Good morning crafters!

Oh my word it’s absolutely chucking it down again here, what a wash out the Summer is so far.

So, instead of busying myself putting some washing out which is my usual early morning job, I’ve been sat at the computer - which is fatal because I always end up spending!

I can’t resist all the goodies, and then I usually go and buy more than I need just to get free postage.

I’ve got so much stuff that’s not even been used yet, I have to get the latest thing and then before I have chance to use it there’s another latest thing – so the last one gets put in a drawer and forgotten   …and so it goes on!!

It’s a good job it’s all hidden away in the attic is all I can say lol, it’s for my eyes only!!

This is my card for Lili’s Little Fairies  this week, the challenge is ‘anything goes’ so I used one of the little mice cards I made for our showroom at work. I’m such a fan of these little mice although I’m in 2 minds about this colour scheme?

The card is core’dinations with glamour dust to edge it, spellbinders and doohickey dies.

The corner is a punch from Whimsy, I’ve been searching high and low to try and find the discontinued Quick Kutz die in this design but they’re like rocking horse poo!!

The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts which you can now get in the Lili of the Valley showroom – we’re the only store in the UK to actually stock these so we’re thrilled, I know a few of you don’t like shopping online so if your near enough to Leeds then do try to stop by and pay us a visit.

Right better get myself ready for work, my daughter left something in her car last night that I needed and she couldn’t be bothered getting it. She said she’d get it this morning and she’s going to regret it now when I get her out of bed and she has to go down the garden in this weather!!

Have a good day everyone xx

Playing guitar…

Good evening everyone, I’ve not been on for a few days – life seems to have a nasty habit if getting in the way of blogging sometimes doesn't it!!

This card is one I made for Lili’s Little Fairies. I love the Lili of the Valley boy designs, they’re so cute and this card was perfect for my nephew.

Playing Guitar, LLF, LTJ

These fabulous papers are from the Best Creation ‘rock star’ pad, they’re perfect for boys cards.

The star border is magnolia doohickey and I used core’dinations card.

That’s it …easy!
