Devastated…

Good afternoon lovely crafty friends, thanks so much for stopping by

I have really sad news today...

... if you follow my blog you will know that my Daughter Jess has a little dog, Rolo, our Grandbaby who we all adore

He ran out of the gate on Sunday and was hit by a car, we are devastated.

They were right behind him but were so shocked they didn’t get chance to look at the car before it sped off. How could anyone do that, just drive off and leave him there?

He died on the way to the vets but even if he’d got there sooner they said they couldn’t have done anything because he had internal injuries, our poor little Rolo

Jess is absolutely heartbroken, he’s her baby and they just moved into their first home last week - he was so excited to finally have his own garden

It seems so surreal, we’ve had dogs all my life but they have lived to a ripe old age and had a peaceful end, this has been such a terrible shock

…he was Manny’s little mate too

I’ve been helping Jess to move over the last couple of weeks and get the house ready so crafting has taken a bit of a back seat

These are a couple of cards that never made it onto the blog…

Baby Girl

Papers - DoCrafts Forever Friends ‘New Arrival’

Lawn Fawn sentiment die

MFT border die

Babygrow - Sue Wilson (I think, maybe Fuzzy Lemon?)

Tonic Nuvo jewel drops

new home Jess

This die set was one I bought from someone on ebay

I saw the sentiment on Pinterest and loved it so just printed it on the computer, I like mixing fonts

Thanks so much for listening my lovely friends that live in my computer

Enjoy your Wednesday whatever you are doing

  1. Oh Anne, I am so sorry to read about poor little Rolo, its absolutely devastating when you lose a pet as we always say they are so much part of the family. I don't know how anyone could just drive off, its's awful. Sending you and your family big hugs.

Both cards are absolutely beautiful. The baby grow is so cute and I love the pretty papers and layout. The house and sentiment are fab and I love the die cuts.

  2. Oh my goodness Anne, so terribly sad to read this, what a devastating thing to happen. I certainly don't understand someone just driving off, but it happens. Big Hugs to all. He looks the sweetest of wee dogs and the photo of him and Manny is just wonderful. Manny will feel his loss too.

Your cards are lovely, super designs, Hugs Kate x

  3. We had a similar problem with one of our cats. She had just been in for her breakfast and went straight out again. I heard a screeching noise at the top of our close. I just said to my hubby, that's Ginny. I got dressed and ran up the road. A car had hit 2 cats, ours was killed and she put her in her car and drove off with her!! The owner of the other cat thought she new where she lived and to cut a long story short, it took all day to get her back as the woman had buried her, on a piece of ground near her house!!! So I know exactly how you are all feeling and my heart goes out to you, as he looked so adorable. Poor old Manny too.

Your cards are lovely and love the sentiment and designs. Big hugs Carol S.xxxx

....Furry babies always take away a piece of our heart when they go on the Rainbow Bridge... Especially when they are young and the lost is unexpected. Big shame on that person that didn't stop and kill him!!!

  13. Ohhhh, how awful for you and Jess! I hate hearing stories like this and the horrid people who won't stop... poor little Rolo. I am sad for all of you.
Your cards are lovely... seems so odd to say that in the same comment because I'm still thinking about Rolo but they are so nice.

  15. Two really sweet cards. I create quite a lot of my sentiments in word but silly me have never thought to mix the fonts up like that. What a plonker I am!! Thanks for the notion. I Aslo like how you put about your lovely friends who live in your computer. We will probably never ever meet the people that we make friends with on our blogs and that is a lovely way of expressing it. Hugs Mrs A.
